Mark Rolinson Glass Artist

about me:

Since graduating from the Quay School of Arts Diploma in Glass Design and Production Course in 2007 I have exhibited in a number of shows throughout New Zealand whilst establishing my practice in Wanganui.

My experiences of industrial design and sound engineering have combined to underpin a sense of aesthetics that draw me to describe intangible sensations through the medium of glass. Through a variety of techniques I invite the viewer to explore the tactile nature of glass through form, texture and tone.  The transmission of light through glass holds an endless fascination and allows me to explore the relationship of internal and external forms.
